Joe Biden has promised to build one of the most diverse White House administration ever and has picked an all-female senior communications team to show this.
The United States President-elect, Joe Biden, is selecting only females for his senior communications team. Besides this reflecting his promise of a diverse White House team; it also points at his desire to use more traditional press operation.
According to TIME, Kate Bedingfield, who served as Biden’s campaign communications director will be the White House communications director. Meanwhile, Jen Psaki will be his press secretary.
This first-ever all-female White House communications team will have four roles (out of seven) filled with women of colour.

Joe Biden said about his communications team, “Communicating directly and truthfully to the American people is one of the most important duties of a President, and this team will be entrusted with the tremendous responsibility of connecting the American people to the White House.
“These qualified, experienced communicators bring diverse perspectives to their work and a shared commitment to building this country back better.”
Karine Jean Pierre, will serve as a principal deputy press secretary for the president-elect. Pili Tobar, will be his deputy White House communications director. Others include; Ashley Etienne, Symone Sanders, and Elizabeth Alexander.
