Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State who tested positive for the coronavirus, known as COVID-19 pandemic and went into self-isolation has now tested negative twice for the virus and has been discharged.
Makinde had tested positive for Coronavirus on 30 March 2020.
However, Makinde, in a tweet late night Sunday, 5th March 2020, tweeted that he has tested negative twice. He also appreciated the prayers and support of people during the trying time for him.
“I am deeply moved by your prayers and support throughout this period. I am so thankful. This evening, I received my second negative test result for COVID-19,” Governor Seyi Makinde tweets.

“I especially thank Prof Temitope Alonge, who acted in my stead as Head of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force,” he adds.
