These numbers, which are shared on NCDC’s official Twitter account give the updated figures on the spread of the Coronavirus in Nigeria. They also help Nigerians to monitor the rate at which the virus is spreading within the country.
According to the report shared by NCDC, 160 new cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed in Nigeria within the past day.
Furthermore, 59,287 cases have been confirmed in total while 50,718 people have been discharged from isolation centres.
Unfortunately, 1,113 people have succumbed to the virus and died as a result.
According to the latest report, 42 new cases were confirmed in Rivers State, which is the highest number recorded. Following that is Lagos State which recorded 32 new cases and then Plateau State with 21 new cases.
