The NCDC shares nightly updates on the state of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. COVID-19 is actually caused by Coronavirus and so far in Nigeria, 49,068 people have been infected.
According to the most recent updates released, though, the numbers are obviously reducing. 298 new cases of Coronavirus were recorded in Nigeria between 15 August to 16 August.
However, unlike previous reports, Plateau State recorded the highest number with 108 new cases. Kaduna State follows with 49 and then Lagos State with 47 new cases.
36,497 people so far have been discharged from isolation centres across the country but unfortunately, 975 people have succumbed to the pandemic.
