The daily updates that the NCDC shares on their official Twitter account help Nigerians to monitor the speed a which the virus is spreading within the country.
The numbers have continued their downward trajectory and now, the number of confirmed cases for the latest day has dropped to 252 cases.
Plateau recorded the highest number of cases for the day with 50 new cases while Enugu followed with 35 new cases and Rivers State with 27 new cases.
Lagos sits below Rivers State with a total number of 26 new cases. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 52,800 in total.
39,964 people have been treated and discharged so far while, tragically, 1,007 people have succumbed to the virus so far.
