The updates are shared on NCDC’s Twitter account and provide Nigerians with a valid means to correctly track the progress of the virus within the country.
According to the latest update, 216 additional cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed across several states in the country.
Plateau State recorded the highest number of new cases with 59 new cases and Rivers State followed with 27 new cases.
Abia State followed with 22 new confirmed cases while Lagos State trailed after with 20 new confirmed cases. These new numbers have now brought the total confirmed cases in Nigeria to 54,463.
42,439 people have been successfully treated and discharged from isolation centres while 1,027 people have sadly died from Coronavirus-related illnesses.
