The NCDC shares daily updates on the state of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country and from the latest numbers, it looks like the number is going up.
According to the update, Nigeria has recorded an additional 417 new cases of COVID-19 (caused by Coronavirus) within 24 hours.
Lagos recorded the highest number with 207 new cases, followed by Kaduna with 44 new cases and then Ondo State with 38 new cases.
Abuja sits at the bottom of the report having recorded only one new case in the last 24 hours.
This report is particularly important as the Federal Government recently announced that international flights are due to resume on 29 August. Hopefully, the number of cases return to the downward slope it was on over the past few days.
NCDC shared in their tweet: “417 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria;
