The daily updates are released on NCDC’s verified Twitter account and provide Nigerians with a safe avenue to monitor the spread of the Coronavirus in the country.
According to the latest report, 160 new cases have been confirmed in the country. This number shows that the virus is on a downward trajectory as it is definitely a decrease from the 296 new cases which was confirmed yesterday, 28 August.
The report says that Plateau had the highest number of new cases as 44 new cases, while Lagos followed with 27 new cases. Katsina is next with 18 new cases, and so forth.
Now, a total of 53,477 new cases have been confirmed in Nigeria, 41,017 cases have been treated successfully and discharged, while 1011 people have died from Coronavirus-related illnesses.
