According to NCDC’s updates, the numbers have steadily increased within the last few days, since they took a break for a few days out of respect for the lives lost during the End SARS protests.
The daily updates are shared on NCDC’s official Twitter account and help Nigerians to accurately monitor the progress of the virus within the country.
According to the latest update, 119 new cases of Coronavirus have been recorded in Nigeria in the last day.
Out of the 119, 77 of them were recorded in Lagos State and 26 were recorded in FCT.
These updated numbers have now taken the total number of recorded cases to 62,111 confirmed cases.
Additionally, 57,571 people have been treated and discharged. Unfortunately, 1,132 deaths have been recorded since the start of the virus.
