This coming only a few days after the third case of Coronavirus was confirmed in a woman who travelled to Nigeria from the UK. According to official reports, she is in quarantine in Lagos and is receiving treatment.
Only a few hours ago, NYSC cancelled the orientation camps for incoming corps members, citing the Coronavirus as the cause of the cancellation.
Nigeria now joins other African countries like Sudan, Egypt, Ghana, and others in announcing travel bans in order to protect citizens.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in a report published on Monday, 347 cases have been recorded in 27 African countries. That number has certainly gone up by now.
Members of the public are still advised to practice safety measures, wash their hands, and remain calm.
