Nigeria has recorded an additional 176 coronavirus cases according to the latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The NCDC made the revelation during its nightly update on coronavirus in Nigeria via its Twitter handle on their 22nd of September.
According to the Centre, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country now stands at 57,613 confirmed The Centre also stated that 48,836 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus, known formally as SARS-Cov-2.
Meanwhile, 1,100 people have died from COVID-19 related complications. This means that the active number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigerians as of the night of Tuesday 22nd of September 2020 was 7,677
