Nigeria has recorded an additional 1,861 coronavirus cases according to the latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The NCDC made the revelation during its nightly update on coronavirus in Nigeria via its Twitter handle on Wednesday, 27 January 2021.
According to the centre, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country now stands at 126,160 confirmed. The centre also stated that 100,365 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged. The center also reported 22 new deaths. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus, known formally as SARS-Cov-2.
Meanwhile, 1,544 people have died from COVID-19 related complications. This means that the active number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigeria as of Wednesday night, 27 January is 24,251
