Nigeria has recorded an additional 410 coronavirus cases according to the latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The NCDC made the revelation during its nightly update on coronavirus in Nigeria via its Twitter handle on the 18th of August.
According to the Centre, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country now stands at 49,895 confirmed The centre also stated that 37,051 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus, known formally as SARS-Cov-2.
Meanwhile, 981 people have died from COVID-19 related complications. This means that the active number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigerians as of the night of Tuesday, 18th of August was 11,863.
