Nigeria has recorded an additional 1634 coronavirus cases according to the latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The NCDC made the revelation during its nightly update on coronavirus in Nigeria via its Twitter handle on Tuesday, 2 February 2021.
According to the centre, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country now stands at 133,552 confirmed. The centre also stated that 107,551 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus, known formally as SARS-Cov-2.
Meanwhile, 1,613 people have died from COVID-19 related complications. This means that the active number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigeria as of Tuesday night, 2 February is 24,386
