Nigeria has recorded an additional 1,430 coronavirus cases according to the latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The NCDC made the revelation during its nightly update on coronavirus in Nigeria via its Twitter handle on Monday, 25 January 2021.
According to the centre, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country now stands at 122,996 confirmed. The centre also stated that 98,359 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus, known formally as SARS-Cov-2.
Meanwhile, 1,507 people have died from COVID-19 related complications. This means that the active number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigeria as of Monday night, 25 January is 23,130
