Coronavirus in Nigeria: 437 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed| See full report

The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has released the most recent report on the state of the Coronavirus pandemic in the country. 

The report, which is released on their official Twitter account in the late hours every day, shows the current state of COVID-19, which is the disease caused by the Coronavirus.

According to the latest report, 437 new cases have been confirmed in the country, with the highest number, 107 confirmed in Lagos.

This is particularly important Lagos state has commenced efforts to start reopening the state back up, reopening workshop centres on Friday, 7 August.

Following Lagos closely are Abuja and Plateau states with 91 and 81 new cases respectively. These numbers bring the total confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the country to 46,577.

So far, 33,186 people have recovered from the virus and been discharged from the isolation centres. In fact, several isolation centres in Lags have been closed thanks to how quickly people have recovered from the virus.

Unfortunately, 945 people have succumbed to the virus, most recently including the former senator, Buruji Kashamu.
