“I choose to take the bad with the good!” – Chrissy Teigen says as she returns to Twitter

Chrissy Teigen just cannot stay away from the bird app as she has returned to Twitter barely a month (23 days to be exact) after her publicised exit. Her return was met with mixed reactions, but the 35-year-old must be expecting a bit of dragging after the drama she created in March 2021.

The mother of two had sewn a lengthy thread to announce her departure from Twitter, citing her inability to block out negativity. Has she learned how to do so? Only time and how she reacts to trolls will tell.

Her account still has over 13 million followers meaning she came back within the 30-day window that the platform allows for users to recover deactivated accounts.

Then, she followed it up with the quoted statement in this article’s title, “I choose to take the bad with the good!!.”

Obviously, Chrissy Teigen is as addicted to Twitter as many of its fervent users are. She even replied that prior to coming back on the app, she was ‘saying tweets to shampoo bottles’.

One Twitter user who was not feeling jubilant about the model’s return wasted no time in shading her. “Imagine if Chrissy Teigen would have just quietly walked away from the app for a few days instead of making an announcement. It’s almost as if she needs all of the attention..because she’s a narcissist,” they wrote.

Another user tackled her by using her wealthy status, something that has made the mother a target of trolls on several occasions. “Chrissy Teigen can’t stand to be rich in silence and it’s hilarious,” they tweeted.

Amidst the trolling, there are thousands of users that appear to be genuinely happy that she is back on Twitter. Many offered her advice on how to limit the number of negative tweets that she sees.

Teigen has taken to tweeting as normal, bringing colour to the TL with photos of her children using a high powered telescope. In one of them, she asked NASA to wave!

Since making her model debut in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue in 2010, she has also worked at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim and appeared as a featured character in the 2011 Electronic Arts video game “Need For Speed: The Run”.

Her Twitter account has been an important platform from which she aired strong political and social views in the past. During the protests in response to the killing of George Floyd, she went on Twitter multiple time to show solidarity with victims of police brutality.

She also criticised former US President Donald Trump during his term while endorsing Elizabeth Warren during the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries and Joe Biden in the 2020 United States presidential election.

The ‘many small, 2-follower count punches’ that she mentioned in her previous goodbye tweets may return, but Chrissy Teigen is not going to silence herself.
