The singer took to Twitter in the early hours of 25 December to share a few thoughts, some of which were wild and cryptic. As usual, though, he took over the Twitter trends list, with words like ‘Wizkid,’ ‘Machala,’ ‘Soundman,’ ‘Ciroc’ trending.
The singer, who released an EP a few weeks ago, talked about getting married next year and getting his wives to unite. As one Twitter user pointed out though, Wizkid is known for setting his own calendar as he came out in June 2019 and declared it to be January, so we may have to take that with a pinch of salt.
One thing he tweeted that stood out though is him announcing that after his highly anticipated Made in Lagos album, he will only release one last album as Wizkid.
After Made in Lagos! I’m giving y’all one last album as Wizkid .
— Wizkid (@wizkidayo) December 24, 2019
Wizkid has been talking about the album for the last few years, so much that his fans have helped him promote it and made it one of the most anticipated albums of the last few years.
Several producers have spoken about the album, including Northboi who recently had beef with Wizkid over the Joro beats.
Starboy Festival is set to hold on 26 December, and here’s what Wizkid has to say about that: “December 26th. I have a special announcement at #StarboyFest Good night. See you all at Eko energy city !”
We can’t wait.
