During their 3-0 win over APOEL Nicosia on Wednesday, each time the ball found its way to the feet of Welshman Gareth Bale, a discontented whistling came from the camp of the home supporters.
Bale had been a signing that made Madrid break the bank and many fans had set their hopes high, a bit too high, but have been disappointed with the dip in form of the left footed player.
However, his teammates are unhappy with the reaction of the supporters and Casemiro has said about Bale:
“He was a very strong player for us and I hope he continues to be so, with the quality he has, things will be going well for him one day”.
Toni Kroos too had commented that though the fans always expect the very best from players at the club, they should stop whistling at their players.
The club has however received a major boost as Isco who has been in very good form recently agrees a new deal that sees him remain with Madrid until 2022. The club issued the statement on Thursday and said the player would appear before the media today.
The deal is reported to contain a release clause of up to €700million and earn him a whooping sum of €6million each year.
