Tupac Shakur’s mother and many of his family were members of The Black Panther revolutionary party and their beliefs informed Shakur’s music.
More than a decade after his death on this day in 1996, his five studio rap albums including Me Against the World and All Eyez on Me remain extremely influential in the music industry.
