Popular Nigerian singers, Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade who have seemingly had an age-long beef appear to have finally settled their differences.
On the night of 23rd December 2019, at Tiwa’s concert, Everything Savage, Yemi Alade was invited on stage.
That Yemi Alade was even at the concert at all was momentous on its own. And to then be invited on stage was absolutely fabulous.
While on stage, Tiwa said: “I’m about to bring out Yemi Alade. We do this for the culture”

The beef between the duo had started in December 2018, when the singers engaged in a heated war of words on social media.
Yemi Alade claimed some female artistes enlarge their buttocks in photos to deceive their fans, something some interpreted as a dig at Tiwa Savage. Apparently, that remark reportedly was enough to ignite a celebrity beef among two of Nigeria’s if not Africa’s most popular female pop stars.
Naturally, the beef spilt over to their respective fan bases who pit one singer against the other to the extent that Yemi Alade went on record to state that she might never do music with Tiwa Savage again because of the “troubles” from their fans.
Hopefully, that wouldn’t be the case, as we look forward to a collaboration from the duo.
Now, the reconciliation between the two artists is timely and totally not unexpected. Recall that both Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade are signed to Universal Music Group. Yes, that is correct and not exactly news. So, it’s conceivable that the management of Universal Music Group must have played some role in getting them to put the past behind them. They might actually end up making music together as the music industry has been anticipating. Would that happen in 2020? We can’t wait to find out.
Well, we hope we are not the only ones looking forward to a collaboration from them, use the comment section to share your thoughts.
