He also revealed that he was once asked to pay a media house in order to be made a host.
His tweets came after Twitter users began calling out a media organization for paying presenters 30 thousand Naira. Harri said the money was fair and pointed out that a media house in Nigeria asked him to pay them 80 thousand Naira to become their host.
He said he eventually switched from presenting to Digital Comms and the money he made in one gig was so much compared to what he’d been making as a presenter, that he went home to cry in gratitude.

Tip: If you want to go into Presenting, hustle & get a radio gig. Though that area is saturated, they treat their OAPs better, especially in top stations. Apart from Soundcity, AfMag, MTV & Channels, other TV Presenters live from hand to mouth. It's not as glossy as you think.

And I actually stayed longer than I should have cuz of passion. Well, Nigeria doesn't work that way says a mentor. It's not a 'me' issue, it's a failed system issue. It'll take you triple the time to blow here than it'll take an average American. Hustle for your daily bread first

All in all, it wasn't a waste. One of my most lethal asset in my CV is my experience in video content production, it gives me an edge during job interviews, also as a former TV host, I've aced every interview I've come across cuz I can talk my way in & out of any situation. End!

I spent yesterday picking calls & replying messages from OAPs all over the country. Why broadcasting was harsh to me, the stories I heard yesterday made my situation look like a joke. My story was all they needed to hear. I'm so proud of myself for speaking up.
