The Voice Nigeria coach let known her sentiment on the issue while speaking in Ghana yesterday. And in case you’re wondering whether the singer wasn’t trying to be relevant? Even the Minister of Information, Alh. Lai Mohammed, waded into the debate during an interview with CNN’s Richard Quest as has many celebrities in the past including Banky W, Ramsey Houah to mention a few. And this certainly will not be the last that we’ll be hearing about the debate.
Alade thinks people should channel their energy into more productive endeavours.
“I don’t understand why common food that you will eat and it will disappear from your system within seconds, people should fight over it. It doesn’t make sense at all,” she said
“People should look for employment and leave this jollof war. The funniest thing is that we are even told from history that Jollof originated from the Senegalese”, she added.
But the debate is all in good fun, everybody knows there are other things life besides ‘my mother is a better cook than yours’. So perhaps Ms Alade may just chill or join and not be a killjoy.
