Tevez Says What We’ve All Wanted to Say about Chinese Football: ‘They are not good!’

Okay, ignore the fact that we all enjoyed Shaolin Soccer more than any other Football themed movie ever made, the Chinese League are good at spending money and that’s it.

Ever taken your time to watch any of the matches played there? You’ll understand why every fading player wants to move there, it is the perfect retirement game: earn your big bucks by doing as little as possible. (Okay, Golf is kind of like this too).

Carlos Tevez at 33 years is earning more money than, Harry Kane and Dele Alli. Put together. And by the start of this season, the Shanghai Shenhua player that earns £650,000 each week was blasted by the coach for being too fat, like what did they expect him to do with all that money?

Following boos from the fans as he had got only 3 goals in 13 matches for the club, the Argentine broke the silence when he told SFR Sport:

“Chinese players are not as naturally skilled like South American or European players, like players who learned football when they were kids. They are not good and even in 50 years they still won’t be able to compete”.

There you have it Shaolin Soccer fans, it was just a movie and the real thing has nothing on it.
