We’re only one month into 2020, but the 18-year-old may have already won the year. She won five awards at the just concluded Grammy awards, including the top four awards: best new artist, record of the year, album of the year, and song of the year.
She is the youngest solo performer to ever win Album of the Year and was genuinely shocked when she climbed the stage to receive the award.
“Can I just say that I think Ariana deserves this?” she said in her acceptance speech, referencing Ariana Grande, who was also nominated.
In addition to all her many accomplishments, she is also the youngest singer to ever write and perform a James Bond theme song. She wrote the song with her brother and collaborator, Finneas O’Conell.
