The football league has been cleared for activities by the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez. La Liga’s president, Javier Terbas is hoping for a return by 12 June.
Since the start of the week, La Liga football layers have been training in groups of no more than 10.
“Spain has done what it should and now new horizons are opening for everyone. The time has come to bring back many day-to-day activities,” said Sanchez.
“From 8 June, La Liga will be back, Spanish football has a huge following but it will not be the only recreational activity that will return.”
La Liga will continue the league as opposed to the French Ligue 1, and the Scottish Premier League which both opted to restart the season because of the Coronavirus.
At the time of the league’s suspension on 23 March, Barcelona was two points ahead of Real Madrid with all teams having 11 matches left to play.
