Basketball star Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash on Sunday, 26 January 2020, as is widely reported. His 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, also died in the crash. They were headed to a basketball game where Gianna was going to play and Kobe was going to coach.
Gianna, the second of Bryant’s four daughters with his wife, Vanessa Laine Bryant, was a passionate basketball player. And Bryant made sure he was involved in her development by coaching her team. He sometimes shared photos of her at games on Instagram, or videos of the two of them playing together. Kobe Bean Bryant AKA Black Mamba was an American professional basketball player. A shooting guard, Bryant played his entire 20-season career in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with the Los Angeles Lakers. He entered the NBA directly from high school and won five NBA Championships.
Bryant was an 18-time All-Star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team,12-time member of the All-Defensive Team, and the 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP). Widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, he led the NBA in scoring during two seasons, ranks fourth on the league’s all-time regular-season scoring, and ranks fourth on the all-time postseason scoring list. Bryant was the first guard in NBA history to play at least 20 seasons.
According to Forbes, Bryant’snet worth was estimated at $350 million in 2016. At 34 years and 104 days of age, Bryant became the youngest player in the NBA league history to reach 30,000 career points. He became the all-time leading scorer in Lakers franchise history on February 1, 2010, when he surpassed Jerry West.

The time spent on court with his daughter had revived his passion for the game, he told the BET network two weeks ago: “It wasn’t me sitting there, you know as an athlete or a player or something like that, and you know it’s like about me, and I don’t like that. It was her, she was having such a good time.” Bryant said.
Our thoughts and well wishes are with the family of Kobe Bryant during these sad times. The entire Laker Nation and the game of basketball will never be the same without Kobe.
