American rapper Quavious Keyate Marshall, popularly known as Quavo, has reacted to the video of himself and former girlfriend Saweetie in an elevator altercation. He claims to have never physically abused his ex-girlfriend.
Quavo said in an interview that: “We had an unfortunate situation almost a year ago that we both learned and moved on from. I haven’t physically abused Saweetie and have real gratitude for what we did share overall.”
The rapper was referring to the video TMZ obtained inside an apartment complex elevator where Saweetie was seen taking a swing at Quavo during a struggle for control of a video game console.

Also, Quavo was seen grabbing Saweetie by the arm at one point and then swinging her into the elevator with both of them falling to the floor.
Saweetie, however, remained on the ground potentially due to an injury from the fall as Qauvo gets back up. Once the elevator opens, Quavo makes his way out and ensured the door stays open while Saweetie limps out.
Quavo’s statement was a few hours after Saweetie also said: “This unfortunate incident happened a year ago, while we have reconciled since then and moved past this particular disagreement, there were simply too many other hurdles to overcome in our relationship and we have both since moved on.”
The story was reported by TMZ and apparently LAPD detectives have shown interest and would like to meet with both Quavo and Saweetie as it could potentially turn into a criminal matter of mutual combat, where both parties could be found wanting.
