According to an article on Forbes written by Dr. Zhana Vrangalova she surmised the above headline after a new study that was published by Debbie Hernenick and colleagues in a journal titled PLOS ONE that used a nationally representative sample of over 2,000 adults above the age of 18 living in the U.S.
The population statistics showed a percentage of 28 people who have reportedly engaged in a threesome with 10% being women and 18% being men.
Though about 905 of the women agreed that they found the idea appealing as compared to 74% of men and the age range of people who would likely engage in sexual experimentations differed with women having a late start (24 and above) while younger men, middle aged and older men were reportedly more sexually curious.
But bringing the stats home and even forgetting the threesome theme, many still find it difficult to discuss the ‘sex’ topic with many treating it as something that should happen ‘like a mistake’ and not something that can be talked about before the act.
However with the advent of more social media users, the scene is changing as there are more sexual awareness going on than before because the ‘abstinence’ talks seems to be failing to put an end to premarital copulations and curiosity is soaring, so, let’s start talking!
