Netflix has acquired another Nollywood film, Up North, for its teeming subscribers.
Up North tells the story of Bassey Otuekong (Bankole ‘Banky W’ Wellington), a spoilt heir who believes the world is his oyster. He was sent to undertake his mandatory National Youth Service Corp in faraway Bauchi by his father, Chief Otuekong (Kanayo O.Kanayo) who wanted him to learn some humility. The experience eventually turned out to be positive as Bassey finds friendship and love.
It was Editi Effiòng who announced the acquisition by Netflix. According to him, the film is now available for viewing on Netflix.
