Neymar omitted from ‘the best FIFA men’s player’ award nominees list

Fifa has released the list of nominees for ‘the best FIFA men’s player’ award and Neymar is unsurprisingly not included.

His domestic season was cut short by 3 months after he suffered an injury and he failed to make much of an impact at the World Cup.

The Award was created in 2016 following FIFA’s split with Balon d’Or and has been won both times by Cristiano Ronaldo who happens to be on the list again.

The list was posted on the official twitter account for FIFA, and includes the likes of Luka Modric, Messi, Mbappe and many more.

FIFA will cut the list down to three finalists in September, ahead of the awards ceremony in London on Sept. 24.
