Wizkid’s Joro has suddenly returned to the top of trends and the songs video has now surpassed 70 million streams on YouTube.
Wizkid released Joro on 30th September 2019, and the StarBoy boss did not include it in his long awaited studio album, Made In Lagos. Perhaps, this exclusion is understandable as the artist had streamlined all the songs on the album to flow into one another.
However, what is not understandable is why Joro is doing so well considering that Wizkid is not doing any promotion that we can see at this time. Also, when Joro video dropped, it had accumulated only 1.5 million views on its first day.
Likely, the only explanation is that Wizkid had performed Joro as one of his original songs during his YouTube Live streamed performance. The stream was tagged #WizkidLiveYT and the singer had a live band with him to please fans. The hashtag trended number one in Nigeria and UK Twitter space, number two in Canada and Scotland, and 12th in the US.
Yet, why is Joro trending? We can say that it is simply because it is good music. Whatever the reason is, Joro music video on YouTube is doing crazy numbers and will likely not sit at 70 million for long.
