Yesterday, Nigerian rapper Phyno (born Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike) released his third studio album titled Deal With It.
The 22-song album boasts of collaborations from the like of Mr Eazi, Davido, Teni, Olamide, Nuno and others.
Now, Phyno has released the video for the first track of the album, also of the same name.
In the song, Phyno dropped an impressive verse on a short beat as he brags of how far he has come.
The video opens with Phyno running away from himself. Through the course of the clip, we see Phyno kill an outdated version of himself, possibly illustrating that he is his only obstacle on his way to the top.
The video is shot from obscure camera angles and edited with a lot of cinematic effects. Although this means the action is difficult to discern at times, this visual style is incredibly engaging and refreshingly different — amplifying the song it accompanies.
The video is directed by Clarence Peters.
