Simi released her highly anticipated EP, “Restless II”, on Friday 2nd of October 2020 and it features fellow Nigerian singer WurlD, highlife artist Adekunle Gold, and the UK rapper Ms Banks.
The Nigerian Afro-pop star wrote on her Instagram page, “‘Restless’ is finally here and I don’t know how to act!!! LINK IN MY BIO. I mixed these songs, so trust me when I say you need headphones for the full experience.”
Just like she assured, the solid six-track collection is filled with simmering, Afrobeats-inflected R&B, seductive melody, and also a soulful tune to it.
A couple of hours later, Simi also shared the visuals for the EP’s lead single, “No Longer Beneficial”, to celebrate the release of the EP.

The video for “No Longer Beneficial” was directed by Gizelle Hernandez, who had previously worked with Jhene Aiko, Jennifer Lopez and Lena Waithe.
