Ariana Grande equals personal record as 7 Rings scores 12 weeks on top Billboard Artist 100 chart

Singer Ariana Grande’s smash single 7 Rings continues it’s impressive run at number one on Billboard Hot 100.

The latest chart dated 30th March makes it the 12th total weeks that 7 rings score the top position at the top musical act in the US. Only Taylor Swift, Drake and The Weeknd have spent more weeks at No. 1 than Grande, Billboard notes.

Also according to Billboard, “the Artist 100 measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.”

This is coming after the singer was named the most streamed artist on Spotify after crossing 2 billion streams.

This latest chart release means that 7 Rings maintains its top position for the seventh week running. The feat equals Ariana Grande’s personal record that she set with her single Thank U, Next on the Billboard Artist 100 chart in November 2018.

Grande also passes Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran for the fourth-most weeks atop the Artist 100. Here’s an updated look at the acts with the most weeks at No. 1:

Most weeks at No. 1 on the Artist 100
36, Taylor Swift
31, Drake
15, The Weeknd
12, Ariana Grande
11, Justin Bieber
11, Ed Sheeran
10, Adele
