Finally, the “Fast and Furious 9” release is here, and we have brought you some other screen worthy films and television shows to keep you entertained this last June 2021 weekend.
As is our custom, we have mixed things up to ensure that people with different tastes get something to pick from our list. Without further ado, here is a list of 10 films and television series to watch starting from 25 June 2021.
1. F9 or Fast and Furious 9
This is one film franchise that needs no introduction and its 20-year theatrical run attests to the fact that the makers have got the right formula. In the 2021 installment, we get to see the Fast and Furious gang reunite against formidable opponents. The trailer should convince you to go to the cinema for your own ticket as it is not yet streaming online.
2. Werewolves Within
A 2021 comedy horror film adapted from Red Storm Entertainment’s video game of the same name, “Werewolves Within” has been described as a fun watch. Director Josh Ruben especially got commendations for his work but he was not getting all the glory. Critics mentioned the performance of the cast as well as the screenplay by Mishna Wolff. For now, it is only available in theatres but it is coming to Video-on-demand platforms on 2 July 2021.

3. The Good Fight Season 5

Introduce June to July with “The Good Fight” Season 5, a long-running legal drama television series that has been nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards. You can catch up on all the past episodes via CBS All Access and watch the latest ones on Paramount+.
4. Sex/Life
Spice your watchlist up this weekend with this comedy-drama based on B. B. Easton’s famous book “44 Chapters About 4 Men”. Despite guaranteeing you laughs, it also brings moment of intensity with it. It premiered on 25 June 2021 on Netflix and you can watch all eight episodes.
5. Godzilla Singular Point
We have something for anime lovers reading this article, “Godzilla Singular Point” is co-produced by the popular animation studios Bones and Orange. It follows engineer Yun Arikawa and Mei Kamino, a graduate student, who both hear the same mysterious song at the different locations and are unitedly brought into a battle that determines the fate of the world. It is also streaming on Netflix.

In our determination not to leave any genre behind, we introduce you to this American horror film that is said to be ‘a contemporary take’ on the popular 1968 psychological horror “Rosemary’s Baby”. Ilana Glazer, Justin Theroux, Pierce Brosnan, and Sophia Bush star in “False Positive”. You can watch it only on Hulu streaming platform.
7. The Ice Road
The all-star cast of this disaster action thriller film is led by Liam Neeson and Laurence Fishburne. Benjamin Walker, Amber Midthunder, Marcus Thomas, Holt McCallany, Martin Sensmeier, Matt McCoy, and Matt Salinger make up the impressive ensemble. “The Ice Road” is streaming on Netflix starting 25 June 2021, it is a watch that will stay with you long after the weekend is over.
8. Felix And The Hidden Treasure
The animation film also known as “Felix and the Treasure of Morgäa” and has been a hit among young teens and children since its first release in February 2021. If you have kids, this is a suitable watch for you and them. It has been impressing critics and earned two Prix Iris nominations at the 22B Quebec Cinema Awards in 2021, for Best First Film and the Public Prize. “Felix And The Hidden Treasure” is still showing in some cinemas and will soon be available on Netflix or another streaming platform.
9. The Evil Next Door
Horror film lovers can choose this ‘haunted house’ and paranormal-themed film to start their weekend with. It offers chair gripping scenes and scream-inducing action sequence. It stars Oskar Mellender, Tord Danielsson, Dilan Gwyn, Eddie Eriksson Dominguez, and Linus Wahlgren. Here are your options to watch “The Evil Next Door” this weekend.
10. Good Girls Season 4
We close this week’s list off with the fourth season of NBC’s “Good Girls” television series. This crime comedy-drama has been running since 2018 and this weekend is a great opportunity for you to join its fanbase. It is showing on NBC.
