“Free Guy” is a 2021 American science fiction action comedy film directed by Shawn Levy. It follows the story of a bank teller called Guy, who realizes he is a background character in an open world video game called Free City that will soon go offline. What’s more, he is the only one capable of saving his world. “Free Guy” fields an enticing cast of Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy, Taika Waititi, Lil Rel Howery, and Greg Berlanti among others. The film strolls into cinemas worldwide today 13 August.

3. Don’t Breathe 2
“Don’t Breathe 2 is a 2021 American action horror thriller film. In “Don’t Breathe 2”, the Blind Man has been hiding out for years in an isolated cabin and has taken in and raised a young girl orphaned from a house fire. Their quiet existence is shattered when a group of kidnappers show up and take the girl, forcing the Blind Man to leave his safe haven to save her. The film premieres in cinemas today 13 August.
4. Gossip Girl Season 1
“Gossip Girl” is an American teen drama streaming television series developed by Joshua Safran for HBO Max. It is an extension and a standalone sequel to The CW television series of the same name which is based on the novel series written by Cecily von Ziegesar. It is set eight years after the original website went dark. A new generation of New York private school teenagers are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl. The season finale was released on HBO Max this Thursday, 12 August. Just the kind of content you can sit in and enjoy.
5. Respect
“Respect” is a 2021 biographical drama film based on the life of American singer Aretha Franklin directed by Liesl Tommy. Following the rise of Aretha Franklin’s career from a child singing in her father’s church’s choir to her international superstardom, “Respect” is the remarkable true story of the music icon’s journey to find her voice. It stars Jennifer Hudson as Franklin and the likes of Mary J. Blige, Scott Bernstein, Forest Whitaker, and Marc Maron in supporting roles. The film premiered in cinemas on Thursday 12 August.
6. Naked Singularity
“Naked Singularity” is a 2021 American comedy-drama film, directed by Chase Palmer. It tells the story of Casi (John Boyega), a promising young NYC public defender whose idealism is beginning to crack under the daily injustices of the very justice system he’s trying to make right. Doubting all he has worked for and seeing signs of the universe collapsing all around him, he is pulled into a dangerous high-stakes drug heist by an unpredictable former client (Olivia Cooke) in an effort to beat the broken system at its own game. The film made its US theatrical release on Friday 6 August and will debut in other countries today, 13 August.

7. Schmigadoon (Season 2 finale)
“Schmigadoon!” is an American musical comedy television series created by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. On a backpacking trip designed to reinvigorate their relationship, a couple discovers a magical town living in a 1940s musical; they then learn that they can’t leave until they find true love. The finale of the second season airs on Apple TV+ today 13 August. It is the perfect content to binge-watch if you haven’t seen the first season yet.
8. Charming The Hearts of Men
“Charming The Heart of Men” is a romantic drama set during the politically-charged early 60s where a sophisticated woman returns to her southern home town and discovers her options are limited yet discrimination is plentiful. With the help of a Congressional ally, she inspires historic legislation which allows opportunities and protections never before afforded to women. It stars Kelsey Grammer, Anna Friel, S.E. DeRose, and Sean Astin. The film makes its cinema premiere today 13 August.

“Beckett” is a 2021 thriller film directed by Ferdinando Cito Filomarino. The film stars John David Washington as an American tourist vacationing in Greece who becomes the target of a manhunt after an accident, and must reach the embassy to clear his name; Boyd Holbrook, Vicky Krieps, and Alicia Vikander also star. The film debuts on Netflix today 13 August.
10. Brand New Cherry Flavor
“Brand New Cherry Flavor” is an American horror drama streaming television limited series. According to Netflix, it follows Lisa N. Nova who comes to LA dead set on directing her first movie. But when she trusts the wrong person and gets stabbed in the back, everything goes sideways and a dream project turns into a nightmare. This particular nightmare has zombies, hitmen, supernatural kittens, and a mysterious tattoo artist who likes to put curses on people. And Lisa’s going to have to figure out some secrets from her own past in order to get out alive. The series debuts on Netflix today.
