Former Big Brother Naija housemates, Mercy Eke and Ikechukwu Onyema, have returned to our screens with their new reality tv show titled Mercy and Ike What’s Next? And the show is everything we thought it would be and more!
Following the premiere of Mercy and Ike’s reality tv show last night on African Magic, Nigerians have expressed various reactions.
Both fans and non-fans of the duo tuned in to watch the premiere of the show. While those who couldn’t watch in their houses for one reason or the other were able to watch it live on Twitter as a good Samaritan streamed it for all to watch.
The live stream had about 1000 viewers. Everyone wanted to see what the show had to offer and they definitely weren’t let down.
On the show, Mercy was all tears as she talked about her mum’s experience while she was pregnant with her.
“My mum told me that while she was pregnant with me, she would climb trees and let herself fall off, just because she wanted to get rid of me,” Mercy Eke says during the premiere.
“She said that people were laughing at her after she became pregnant with me, so I decided that I won’t be a waste. I must make it in this life.”
On the part where she appeared with Ike, Mercy was heard stating that she didn’t want to wear an engagement ring for more than a month before marriage. She informed Ike that he needed to get everything in place before he proposed.
It was definitely an interesting watch as the show triggered a number of reactions.
