Right from the buildup, the match had a tense atmosphere as Manchester United started the Romelu Lukaku who had just left Godson Park to the anger of the fans and it was not surprising that when his name was read among the team list, a boo went up that was repeated each time he touched the ball.
Then he went a step further after he gave a beautiful assist to Henrikh Mkhitaryan and watched the ball go into the net, then he turned to the visiting fans and placed a finger to his lips:
Shush!
The bad blood rose after he took a free kick poorly and the Everton fans cheered only to bite their tongues later when he scored seconds after and then they went berserk after he celebrated by cupping his hand over his ear:
Still making sounds?!
Although he said that the celebrations were just banter after the match but many fans have expressed their anger and are looking for ways to frustrate him when/if he visits the park with the Red Devils.
