Young Money Entertainment CEO, Lil Wayne, faces up to 10 years in prison for illegally carrying a gold-plated gun in Miami.
38-year-old Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., popularly known as Lil Wayne, confessed to owning a gold-plated gun found in his luggage during a search. The American rapper had landed in Miami on a private jet where he was searched.
The incident occurred on 23rd December 2019 and NBC reports that Wayne may have been carrying other illegal substance as well. But the authorities are not charging him for that at this time.

The rapper had previously gone to jail for eight months after he was found guilty of attempted possession of a weapon in 2007.
However, while his sentence over a decade ago was just one year; this time the rapper could go away for 10 years. His lawyer is quite positive that it would not come to that.
In an email Howard Srebnick wrote; “Carter is charged with possessing a gold-plated handgun in his luggage on a private plane. There is no allegation that he ever fired it, brandished it, used it or threatened to use it. There is no allegation that he is a dangerous person.”
Many may be wondering why Lil Wayne appears to be addicted to carrying firearms. This time around, a New York Times article reports that the rapper said that the gold-plated gun was a gift for Father’s Day.
