French Ligue 1 defending champions Paris Saint Germain wrapped up a 4-0 win at 10-man Nimes on Friday night to move top of the Ligue 1 standings with Kylian Mbappe grabbing a brace.
The French forward scored on either half of the match while Alessandro Florenzi and Pablo Sarabia also joined in completing the mauling to put PSG on 15 points from seven games.
They lead Stade Rennes on goal difference after the Brittany side were held to a 1-1 draw at bottom club Dijon.
Nimes were reduced to 10 men very early on in the game when Loick Landre was shown a straight red card for a dangerous challenge on Rafinha.
PSG also had to replace Leandro Paredes with Ander Herrera after the player suffered a thigh injury earlier.
Mbappe opened the scoring on 32 minutes after rounding Nimes keeper Baptiste Reynet before slotting the ball into the empty goal net.
PSG, however, struggled for creativity upfront, which Neymar would have provided but he was rested for the trip south after returning from international duty for Brazil.
But it was a matter of time for PSG who were without key starters such as the suspended Marquinhos and Angel Di Maria and the injured Marco Verratti and Juan Bernat as the champions eventually made their superiority count.
Italian international Florenzi, on loan from AS Roma, doubled the tally on 78 minutes with a header before Mbappe struck again five minutes later after he was set up by Sarabia.
The Spaniard rounded it off with two minutes left just after another Italian international, Moise Kean, on loan from Everton, hit the bar with a header on his PSG debut
