In a recent interview, multiple Golden Globes Award and Academy Awards winner George Clooney has revealed that his wife, Amal, gave his life purpose. The actor took some time to praise his wife and children for the impact they had on his life.
According to him, he had never imagined that starting his own family would be fulfilling. In fact, it was not part of his plans at all. “There are some people, their goal was, ‘I have to have children.’ Mine wasn’t,” Clooney said. “I wasn’t looking at life, going, ‘My life will be unfulfilled without children.’ I felt like I had a pretty full life.”
He revealed this in a chat with Hoda Kotb, the main co-anchor of the NBC News morning show Today. Before meeting and marrying his wife Amal Clooney, a human rights lawyer in 2014, George Clooney already had a successful career as an actor.

“Then I met Amal and realized that my life had been pretty empty,” he says. He also adds that having children further revealed the gaping emptiness, “And then when you throw these two kids in there, then suddenly you realize how incredibly empty it was.”
George and Amal Clooney share a set of twins Alexander and Ella, born in 2017. He was married to actress Talia Balsam between 1989 and 1993 and was also linked to several other personalities such as Kelly Preston, Cameron Diaz, Charlize Theron, Lucy Liu, and many others before he married Amal.
