Meanwhile to the latest gist. Sometime in the year 2018, a magazine programme of the Cable News Network (CNN), African Voices, celebrated a few African personalities. These personalities are those who have distinguished themselves in various capacities in the film industry. Among these personalities is the super-talented filmmaker and actor Kunle Afolayan whose most recent film, Mokalik, was the focus of the latest edition of the African Voices.
In his interview, Afolayan gives some insight into his background and of course into his latest flick. Per the filmmaker, he is very “proud of his heritage,” hence why he loves to “showcase who we are as Africans and as Nigerians” in his movies. Speaking of his production, the filmmaker also states he pays “attention to detail even with the small available resources” because bringing value to production matters.
