Netflix has reportedly acquired a documentary series of Kanye West which spans over two decades of footage and home videos of the rapper’s life and work.
Several reports from sources puts the price valuation of the deal at $30 million, though others believe that it may not an accurate figure.

The docuseries which would be in multiple parts does not have a title yet and it originates Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah, better known as Coodie & Chike, who are well known music producers who directed and produced West’s 2004 music video “Jesus Walks (Version 3)” and “Through the Wire.”
The pair also worked on the 2012 ESPN “30 for 30” documentary, “Benji” about Benjamin Wilson as well as music videos for Lupe Fiasco, Erykah Badu and others. The duo also produced and directed the 2019 documentary, “A Kid From Coney Island” which was about former professional basketball player Stephon Marbury.
According to reports, the Netflix project is set for release this year.
