For several months, speculations has been going on that American singer Justine Skye and Nigerian artist Wizkid were dating. So (naturally) when Skye tweeted a somewhat regret-sounding message, Tuesday, some users were quick to conclude that the message was about Wizkid – when clearly there was nothing that could have suggested that.
I don’t know why I tricked myself into thinking you were different, you play games for a living

Drop it! Move on, Wizkid is a Yoruba demon

Ya gotta put all these emotions into a song, let it all out… It’s gonna be a classic fosho

Justine, drop this Wizkid issue and move on. Rotimi is there na. He too is Yoruba like your ex.

However, Skye was only only quoting lyrics from her recent video which featured another actor of Nigerian descent Rotimi, as one Twitter user rightly pointed out. Which goes to show how clueless and judgmental the internet can sometimes be.
Most of her tweets are lyrics from her songs if yall actually listen to them you’d knw. Not everything is abt Nigeria. yall need to chill

And to stop people from making even bigger fool of themselves, Skye decided to clarify her relationship status with Wizkid with a simple tweet, which later deleted.
“I’m not talking about Wizkid… haven’t been talking about Wizkid. We are friends. Please chill out it’s honestly insane at this point.”
