In the latest episode of his ongoing YouTube docuseries, he opened up about the time he claims he “valued the wrong things” which led him to become a substance abuser.
The latest episode, titled ‘The Dark Season’ opens with Justin Bieber returning to the spot at the back of his apartment building in Stratford Ontario where he tried weed for the first time as a thirteen-year-old.
“I got super stoned, then I realized I liked weed a lot,” he says, realizing even then that his love for the drug may be something that would lead to dependency.
Speaking further about his drug use, Bieber admitted that his drug use became so bad after he became famous, that his security used to check his pulse nightly to make sure he was still alive.
He said: “I decided to stop because I felt like I was, like, bro, I was, like, dying,” he said. “My security and stuff were coming into the room at night to check my pulse. Like, people don’t know how serious it got, like it was legit crazy [and] scary.”
