Canadian singer and songwriter Justin Bieber gave fans a big surprise by sharing a gospel-inspired EP entitled “Freedom” on Easter.
The 27-year-old pop superstar released the new project on several streaming platforms around 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, 4 April.
Bieber left a post on his Instagram page shortly after the new project dropped saying, “Freedom on all platforms”.

“Freedom” contains six songs and it features Brandon Love, Chandler Moore, Tori Kelly, Pink Sweats, Judah Smith, and Lauren Walters.

The 6-track EP followed closely behind the release of Bieber’s sixth album, “Justice”.
Justice debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The album was released on 18 March through Raymond Braun/Def Jam, a follow up to his 2020 album, “Changes”.

A couple of songs on the album also made the Billboards Hot 100 such as “Holy” featuring Chance the Rapper (No. 3); “Lonely” with Benny Blanco (No. 12); “Anyone” (No. 6) and “Hold On” (No. 26).
A new single off the album, “Peaches” featuring Giveon and Daniel Caesar also debuted at No. 1 recently on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, as Bieber became the first solo male artist to debut at the top of Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 simultaneously.
