Goldin Auctions had gotten 49 bids in total for the rapper’s trading card before it was sold. Usually, the company focuses on sports memorabilia and sports collectibles but it also dabbles in other industries as well.

Never before has any non-athlete card been worth over $105, 780 until HOV’s. The autographed trading card was from the 2007-2007 Topps Chrome collection, according to Bang Showbiz, and it had the words Signs of Stardom written on it, alongside a photo of the rapper in a grey suit.
It is important to note that this news pales in contrast to other expensive cards that Goldin Auctions have sold. For example, in October 2016 the company sold a Honus Wagner card for $3.12 million.
Collectibles and memorabilia are usually worth a lot because of the sentimental value it holds for fans and others around the world. The most expensive ones are usually the rarest of them. You can take a look at how much people spend on former US President, Barack Obama’s high school number 23 white jersey which he wore as a senior at Punahou School as a member of the 1979 Hawaii state champion squad.
