Back in November, both Ice Cube and LL Cool J announced their plans to purchase major sports TV stations, and now the rappers have just gotten billions of dollars closer to that goal.
The channels are currently owned by Disney but the US Justice Department is forcing the company to sell them off to break up their monopoly in sports TV (since they already own ESPN).
Ice Cube’s team told TMZ they met with private equity partners earlier this week to determine how much they would bid on each channel, and plan new content.
