After discovering that Equatorial Guinea had used ten players in qualifying for the 2016 Olympic in Brazil, FIFA handed them a ban that threw them out of qualification matches for the 2019 Women’s World Cup.
The ban follows one that saw them forfeit the 2020 Olympics for using falsified papers to field Camila Maria do Carmo in the 2016 competitions.
The ban also comes with a side dish fine of $77,700 and exclusion from the next two Women’s AFCON tournaments in 2018 and 2020.
